Children.... Technology Slaves

Oh my word.... is this the generation that we are raising?

Where are their social skills, or are we as parents just so exhausted that we would rather put them in front of a tabled, mobile device or even the TV so that we can have 5 minutes to ourselves.

Its so sad that already our children can't just play in the street and ride their bikes anymore. If and when we decide to take our children to a safe play area, do we make sure that they leave their technology at home? It is our responsibility as parents to show them where the line of balance is. We chose to become parents, and like it or not, we are raising little monsters or leaders of the future.

Do your children read books anymore? Or is it all on the tablet, youtube and other social media platforms. When last did you let your child just read for you from a real book? Life is busy, we all know that. We, as parents need to be creative with time.

When we standing in the kitchen cooking dinner, or general cleaning up. Lets get our children involved. They can read to us, and even help out in the kitchen to clean. It certainly won't kill them to put their technology down and get their hands "clean" with helping out.

Have you ever looked at a child throwing a tantrum and comment on what a little brat he/she was. If we don't develop a rapport with our children, they can become teenage "brats", or even worse, adult ones.

We are the master of our own destiny.... we are the ones that mold our children into the adults they will become.

Lets be the best parents we can be!!
